  • IRKUTSK – KIROV ISLAND

Project of a new polyfunctional district of the Irkutsk Town at the Baikal Lake. The new district is designed in the area of Kirov Island, non-developed territory in the immediate vicinity of the downtown. It is mainly based on the axis between the square of Náměstí plukovníka Kirova and the adjacent church buildings. This factor is deepened in synergy for the new part of the town setting up a new urban structure of the main municipal lines and the square. The goal of the project is to provide heterogenous urban areas with specific proportions and atmosphere and with clear architectural accent. The new parts of the town form separate zones linked and blended together in compact urban structure. The newly designed district is provided with full traffic connection to the existing town transportation system.
